![]() ![]() Smith worked with a large group of females to get the job done. Smith tended to work alone with a minimal support group. Smith reported to a woman's voice and Mrs. I did enjoy the juxtaposition of their bosses. I wasn't expecting them to be throwing snowballs at each other or engaging in pillow-fights! I knew some people who complained about the violence in the movie I'm not sure sure what they thought they were going to see about two top-assassins trying to take each other out. It was advertised as a somewhat violent movie they are assassins working for two different shadowy agencies we never really find very much about. I am not going to knock the amount of violence in the movie I did not think it was over-the-top in any way. In fact, I enjoyed the humor throughout both movies. Also liked the Amy Grant song she was one of my favorite musicians growing up. ![]() On a side note, as a Christian, I did enjoy their interactions with the 'Christian neighbors.' That was pretty funny. Both were good movies, enjoyable in their own right and each can stand on its own without taking away from the other. I also enjoyed the unrated collector's edition. I really enjoyed the original theatrical release. has an excellent comparison between the two movies in regards to what was cut and what was added. It was almost a separate movie from the theatrical release, on the one hand, based on what was cut and what was left in. Also, the ending gun-battle was shortened and I do not remember if the song from the theatrical release was playing during the director's cut or not. It seemed like some of the longer scenes gave more background to the characters and what they did as well as how they interac ted with each other. Some scenes were obviously deleted or shortened. The scene where they are fighting and trashing the house is a little longer the footage of the make-up sex is a bit longer and a bit more intense. It seems like the movie was a little shorter than the original movie, but some of the scenes left in are extended and do add to the story. Finally found it online and bought it at a great price! I am a big fan of multi-disc sets love the extra features! So when I saw this movie had come out in a 2-disc set, I wanted to buy it but they were all gone when I went back to the store. The cinematography is by Bozan Bajelli (the genius behind Abel Ferrara's best mid-1980s work) who imbues each environment, whether it's the Smith's house, or the urban streets-with its own evocative color scheme and feel. Another plus is Vince Vaughn as a fast-talking fellow hit man who lives with his mother. The comedy is sophisticated and witty, the action is visceral and intense, and there is plenty of satisfying eye candy. Director Doug Liman was obviously the right choice for the material, having proved his ability to fuse engaging romance with knuckle-biting action in 2002's THE BOURNE IDENTITY. Thanks to a genuinely witty script, the issue isn't who will win, but whether the couple will realize they are meant for each other before it's too late. When their paths eventually cross on a high-level hit, one of the most lethal battles of the sexes in the history of cinema is officially on. Pitt and Jolie play extremely skilled professional assassins who have managed to stay married for five years without ever realizing each other's profession because they work for rival agencies and the work is top secret. It's impossible to dislike this pair, or a movie that makes being married seem like such insane fun. He shows he is equally adept in comedy and action, and she manages to set new screen standards of bad-ass sexiness. SMITH is really its own ball of flaming wax, with enough sizzling chemistry between stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to blow up a small building. Named after a 1941 Alfred Hitchcock film, MR. ![]()
